Grace Network launches ethical Christmas hamper

Ethical Christmas hamperThe Grace Network, based in The Old Department Store in Cirencester, is offering a thoughtful way to give back this Christmas with a hamper that supports communities both locally and internationally.

Created in collaboration with Different Kind, based in the same building, the hamper brings together products that each make a positive social impact. There are two options available, one priced at £75 and another at £115, and both are filled with products that support social enterprises, fair trade producers, and community initiatives.

The £75 hamper includes:

A lunch voucher for The Long Table
Enjoy lunch at the ground-breaking community restaurant in Stroud or Cirencester.
Impact: Every meal helps fund pay-it-forward lunches for those who can’t afford them, spreading the joy of eating together.

Step and Stone – Cheese Biscuits
Handmade in South Gloucestershire and Bristol by a bakery employing young people with Down’s syndrome, autism and learning differences.
Impact: Creating meaningful employment and raising awareness among employers about the value of an inclusive workforce.

Zaytoun Olive Oil
Premium olive oil from Palestine.
Impact: Supporting fair trade and sustainable livelihoods for farmers in the West Bank.

Zaytoun Smoked Almonds
Delicious, creamy nuts lightly smoked and sourced from Palestinian food co-operative Zaytoun.
Impact: Creating fair employment opportunities for farmers and food producers in Palestine.

Chocolarder – Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh Chocolate
Small-batch, handmade chocolate crafted in Falmouth using reclaimed machinery.
Impact: Cocoa sourced ethically from social suppliers, including the women’s co-op Virunga, keeping profits within producing communities.

Social Sauce – Mulberry Dessert Sauce
Made in the Wiggly Kitchen in Gloucester using berries picked from the Bishop of Gloucester’s garden.
Impact: Helping marginalised groups learn to cook, garden, and connect through community growing and food.

Dalit Candle
Beautifully handmade candles crafted by the Dalit people of India.
Impact: Empowering an underrepresented community and funding education for Dalit children.

The £115 version includes all of the above, plus:

Cotswold Hills Wine
A crisp white wine produced locally by the social enterprise at the Royal Agricultural University, using a vineyard at Down Ampney and eco-friendly cardboard bottles.
Impact: Supporting local food and wine initiatives, with profits reinvested into new student enterprises.

Maison Bengal Basket
A handwoven basket made by women in Bangladesh through a Fairtrade organisation founded by a former NGO.
Impact: Providing fair wages and home-based employment for over 5,000 women across Bangladesh.

All proceeds from the hampers go to Different Kind, which supports the makers and social enterprises behind each product.
